Note that that's because a lot of the people on pubs also play clanstyle elsewhere, by the way - there aren't necessarily more people playing as a clan than there are pubbing at any given time, though.

Check the stats. ~70 idlers in the channel at all times, and a pickup going quite often. (The Today stat is broken, as you can tell [last pickup: 3 hours ago, pickups today: 0. lol wut?])

Yeah, judging by the response you got in #ff.pickup (helpfulness, acceptance) and the fact that you didn't even play a pickup when you joined the channel, I'd say you have ample reason to outright boycott the FF pickup community. And, I'm not 'elitest' by any standards. I'll play with anyone on my team no matter what. I'm in this for the fun, and am not a part of any clan at the moment.

It's played in two 15 minute rounds, Offense vs. Defense-style. So, it attempts to emulate an 8v8.

And, it gives everyone a chance to play both Offense and Defense.

Soldiers don't have time to reload their rocket launchers, demos generally only get one to two green pipes set before they have to det them again... yeah, it's really slow.
