looking for fps horror genre like f.e.a.r.

hey are there any other fps games like f.e.a.r.? i'm hooked on the single player for that game - beat it like 5 times within the last 2 weeks, and not as a speed run; i played it with max gfx then min gfx to see if the texture/lighting added creepiness effect(the light and sound detail does, but not so much the texture resolution)

anyone know of any other fps like f.e.a.r.?

Ah yes, Penumbra Overture. It's great

And Cold Fear? Might as well get Resident Evil 4.

Cold fear is great, but sometimes the controls suck donkey balls, and it's nothing like resident evil, it's on a Russian Reefer (Russian swears while the crew shoots at you are TEH WIN)

man, you know what i hate about the whole the resident evil/silent hill games? the controls suck ass; i hate the way i gotta used the turning method by keyboard; i mean, more than creepy(like f.e.a.r.) those games frustrate the fart out of me;

wait, was ravenholm creepy? i don't remember being creeped out; i tried CF and PO the demo, but are they supposed to be like survival? that was the impression i was getting;

f.e.a.r. is creepy because like, the hud flashes with this green mesg at top that says "unknown origin," then you see this girl in red dress like crawling or standing around, only to dissapear; i think the closest description i can come up with is, if you watch the japanese version of "the ringu" it's like that; except it's not frustrating as survival genres because you look with your mouse, as an fps game;

i've been searching like mad for another game like this;

f.e.a.r. scared the sh*t out of me the first time I played it, as did doom3!

Doom3 is very much worth playing trough, plus if you have Ressurection of evil (the expansion) you'll notice a similarity betweens doom3 and half life 2

F.E.A.R wasn't scary after the first 10 or so minutes. Like Doom 3. After that, it goes from scary to repetitive.

have you played the 2 expansion packs? They offer more of the same though.

Personally I got rather bored while playing Extraction Point. I ended up putting cheats just so I can finish it and learn whatever garbage was for the story.

However the original FEAR team disregard those 2 expansion packs and are making their own proper sequel called "Project Origin" It's trailer made me extremely giddy.

thanks for the links RN; yea played the expansions, but they didn't have the same quality of creepiness as the original f.e.a.r game; there were only 1 spot that was creepy in the perseus and none in the other one =\; man i hope this one gets released soon
