HL2:DM Maps in FF?

Will FF be able to use maps from the HL2M map directory and use the 4 team FFA template like TFC was able to with HL Multiplayer maps?

Cause that was so cool

It's hard to tell if you're being serious or not, i'd assume it wouldn't. If you were to extract the maps from your GCF and put a lua file making the map run as FFA it might work though. Dunno...

If you wanna play a Capture the Flag mod with HL2M then go get HL²CTF. It has the same maps as HL²DM and the same principal of TFC. Needless to say, nothing beats the best of the best though, being TFC itself .

I dont mean CTF maps, but servers ran all the time in TFC the HLDM maps like gassworks, and so on. And you diddnt need to DL the maps if they were in your HLDM map folder.

I mean why would you think I wasnt serious?

Play bounce with snipers was very cool. Crossfire was funny too.

Be able to play the hl2dm maps (4 teams deatmatch :P) would be a nice point.

The server to be able to play those maps needed to have them in the TFC map directory but the client TFC looked both in the TFC and HLDM map directory for it. If your HLDM folder diddnt have the HLDM map the server was playing however it downloaded it to the TFC map folder.

I can see it not letting you look for maps in the HL2DM map folder since the way Steam has them setup its practically in a diff games directory instead of it being a mod in HL2DM's Folder. But still it would be cool if FF would be able to run HL2DM maps, just requiring you to re download them from the server into your FF folder.

Or coppy them there from your gcache.

But yea, the FF devs just need to set a few default variables and have people be able to spawn from info_player_deathmatch, info_player_rebel and info_player_combines.
