eh. have you been to a public school lately? The lack of enthusiasm on behalf of the children is directly related to the lack of management skills on behalf of the staff.

The fact that their parents don't give a damn so long as their kids are out of their hair at home has nothing to do with it.

And who has control over that? The parents who vote for the school board.

Actually, Back when I was in school, (a long long time ago) they had a corpral punishment paper my parents signed every year. This gave the principal permision to whip my ass if needed. It has come down to this, To many fucking sue happy fuckers out there forcing the schools and state to adopt new policies to protect them selves from a minute few. This fucks the rest of us who can't afford private schools for our children. The state/government has tied the schools hands in a lot of ways, Lack of Funding/Cut Backs, stricter laws forbidding certain punishments.

Lack of enthusiasm is also directly related to their "Home Environment" it's not all on the school.

The only person responsible for educating a child is the parents. If they're kid isn't doing well in school it's their job to fix the situation, be it with in-home study requirements, their own curriculum to enhance what they are not getting in the public education system, or the removal of a poor teacher. Guardians are the responsible party.

Obviously your parents didn't teach you, their kid, very well.

I dunno. My experience was that I wasn't challenged to think, I was challenged to memorize. The result was me not quite caring about school.

Oddly, my parents challenged me to think instead of memorizing things. The result was me caring a lot more about educating myself, since my school simply was not doing that.

A lot of the smartest people in my class were exactly the same way. Oddly, most of them had B averages. Those with A averages were just the busy-bodies who could tell you when someone was born but couldn't answer a question that required some thought.

Soooooooo...

It's subtle, I'm not too surprised you didn't get it. I'm sure I've told you this before. The word you were looking for, is not they're, but their. There's a subtle difference that I guess any fourth grader can get, well, except for you.
