Wasn't it.

Heh, why? On a CRT or something? Put sunglasses on. It's not too bad on my LCD at factory settings.

It's not that the colors were bad, it's just they were godawful bright. And yeah, I'm on a CRT.

Also please read this for all of our eyes' sake.

Spiffy.

I think the example link you gave looked just fine.

It's best if you put it off for a bit because I can't get hold of Absolute the site admin atm.

What content management system are you using for your website? VBulletin is your forum, but what about the main site?

It looks kinda like MKportal.

I liked it............

I say include a random link generator program I could write for you so when you navigate over the directional link and click it actually changes to a random section so you will only have like 1/10 chance of hitting the correct topic you want. It is like gambling but with better odds then roulette

You shouldn't really be using XHTML unless you're properly setting the Content-Type accordingly, which 99% of "standardistas" make the mistake of ( I am assuming you are in that 99% ).

Also, why go through the bothersome task of specifying the encoding in the meta element instead of a real proper HTTP header? Unless you need to make sure the saved copy of the page is interpreted properly as UTF-8.

Those `/>` XHTML style closing tags are just extraneous and incorrect, the browser literally is parsing incorrect code. Of course you most likely will ignore this because of the good ole w3 validation giving you the green flag but technically it's incorrect so it would only make sense to use HTML style end tags for HTML documents sent as text/html and not application/xhtml+xml.

My apologies if you're sending it the proper way though.

Personally though I nowadays specify an HTML 5 doctype and use a shim for styling elements in IE.

FYI: The href="css/" relative link will not pickup correctly if you're on a permalink page so I suggest prefixing a '/', eg href="/css/foo.css".

Any reason why you're leaving out projection in the media attribute value?

3 column layouts suck and its 1 table

and the fake lists I just threw in there to get some content in the boxes. Its far from being anywhere near complete.

Actually, in HTML5 self-closing tags are allowed for void elements. They apparently have no effect, but they were added to ease migration from XHTML.

I'm referring to his use of XHTML as text/html though.
