Clan-Style Play CTF

Couple questions I need answered from the clan community for a match:

1) Which map is the most often played and enjoyed CTF clan style play?
2) What is the optimal team-size for that map?
3) How many O and how many D should be on that map per team? Should this be restricted or unlimited?
4) What is a good round time for that map?
5) How often should somene be allowed to change their class or from O to D, vice versa?

How would you compensate if teams are temporarily unbalanced due to someone's game crashing/etc? (freeze a player from the other team? disallow an additional O player? etc...)

1) You'll get 10,000 different answers.
2) Most 'clan-style' CTF maps are perfectly suited for 4v4, however some maps could comfortably accommodate a 5v5 setting (3 Defense, 2 Offense, per team).
3) If you're talking about a pub atmosphere, it depends on the map. On maps like destroy, 6 defense is pushing it. On others, like mortality, you could probably house 7+ defenders. It all depends.
4) Assuming there would be real CTF OvD, 15 minutes is usually the norm. Traditionally there's two rounds.
5) Ideally whenever they want.

6) If the teams were completely even, and someone leaves, disconnects, etc., the odd player should go to the defending team, by default.

I realize I'll get a lot of different answers... majority rules.

Well, it's pretty obvious you're centering this around a pub environment, so I'll say now that there's a lot of maps that require advanced knowledge of the map, and it's limitations to be played correctly. Something like destroy, the elements of playing that map are pretty much self-evident. However, a map like mortality, would be far too complex for someone who's never played it. Granted, if you were to host a pub OvD CTF server, I'm sure most people who would be interested in playing OvD would already know most of the CTF maps. Choosing a proper CTF map for a pub is a double-edged sword.

1. Emulation. Or redgiant.
2. 4v4 or 5Ov5D
3. If you wanted both O and D, 9 players per team works. But it's a lot easier to get just one team O and one team D in a pub. Having an admin helps a ton with this.
4. Since it's a pub, probably 20-25 minutes. League play is 15 minutes per round, 30 per match (x2 for league play).
5. If it's just 4-5 people/team, O is blue, D is red - if people want to change roles, have them swap teams with someone. In a full match (9v9, say), I'm pretty sure you're not supposed to have more than 5 or 6 defenders. Any amount of offense is fine, though. Or maybe I'm getting that reversed, but in pub, you should be more concerned about getting stallfests anyways.
*BONUS*. Find a way to cut down on OvO - scouts or medics or whatnot shooting the other team's offense classes in the yard. A twitch shot is fine. Following others is not.

It's the admins'/players' discretion to have someone sit out (if another player lags).

Already coded that, it's easy to stop.
