yea, ppl have been strugling with it but its still fun to have up there. We did have a LOT of trouble tyring to get someone who spoke very little english on how to noclip, he spent the whole time in the box

server needs more maps

and i also want to point out that i was cursing in the server while it was empty and i got banned. you really must be less leaniant on this. i said a curse in the FEEDBACK: thing and it like went and banned me, and its been a good 24 hours and im still banned.

damn those imaginary children listening into the server waiting for me to curse to myself!

Something else I was thinking about... giving the map designers the ability to update comments for their particular maps, either delete them or mark them as "fixed"...

Actually that's not entirely accurate. Someone else said "sexy" during a feedback and had the filter hit them. You intentionally got yourself banned for 30 minutes. Your record is below:

Swear Slayed on #2 on 12/19/06 at 1:03 pm. Notes: Slayed for swearing. ("you said sexy")
Swear Slayed on #2 on 12/19/06 at 1:03 pm. Notes: Slayed for swearing. ("AH SHIT")
Banned on #2 on 12/19/06 at 1:04 pm. Notes: Banned 30 minutes for swearing. ("at fuck it")
Banned on #2 on 12/19/06 at 1:18 pm. Notes: Banned permanently. Reason: Intentionally ignoring server policies.

You intentionally swore 3 times in a row to get yourself banned and obviously disagreed with or didn't care about the server rules. When the ban was autoposted into our forums someone reviewed it, saw that you intentionally pushed the filter to it get yourself banned. The 30 minute ban is for people to know that we really do want to try and keep the server talk clean. When people intentionally push it because they don't agree with the rules and do it to just dis the server or prove a point, then they generally don't return.

Addressing your other point: The only reason the swear filter still slays people even when no one else is in the server is, on occasion, we've had complaints from people with multiple personality disorders. You can't imagine how difficult it is to handle people like that in the server, one personality pissed about another's language... it's mind numbing.

It wasn't in the filter for the longest time... if you'd seen the context in which it was used you'd understand why it's there now.

On occasion we have kids or grandkids of clan members that play in the servers. List out the words you feel are appropriate discussion for them but are included in the swear filter and we'll consider it.
