Custom Spraypaints

I was wondering what format I have to save my images in to have transparency, im making an angular image, and dont want a white background.

any suggestions?

Also I have huge list of sprays in my dropdown menu that I dont know how to get rid of, from using trial and error, so anyone know how to do that? lol

Well, I'm pretty sure all you have to do is set the images transparency in teh alpha channel.

As for the file type.. Pretty sure I did mine w/ a png.

hmm im refering to the background, when I save an image, it makes a full 3:4 image, a square, when its the FF logo, c what I mean? When I save it, it keeps the white background.

save your image as a tga, the "alpha channel" defines the transparency of the image

You need to use a program, such as photoshop that lets you edit the images alpha color channel. (If you are using photoshop, click the channels tap, then add layer to add an alpha channel.)

Hit up google for specifics. I saw a tut on there somewhere.

Use Gimp. It's a free overhauled Paintshop Pro.

I think Paint.net can do what you want. It's also free and just awesome in general.

GIMP is confusing?

The only confusing part is why it wants to open in separate windows instead of one unified window.

Paint.net is indeed a nice alternative. Though not as advanced as photoshop or psp, you can make sprays just fine with it.
