I bought a Logitech headset today.
I took it out of the packaging, got the cord out, looked it over, the usual. I go to put it on my bulbous head, and the right earpiece just snaps clean out of the arch. It broke within ten seconds of opening it, and I can't return it until tomorrow. @#$%.

Ahem, I am now officially the 16th best fencer under 18 in Canada, after less than a year of competition. Booya. Here's an illustration of how awesome I am:
Next year, I'm a break the top 10.

well, i might as well post this here.
So here's the deal. I haven't been making much music recently, and when I do, I've found that I usually only use my V-synth and Ks4. I've spent so much money on synths that don't even get used for various reasons that I'm considering 'cutting the fat' so to speak. It also doesn't help that I find myself really wanting a Playstation 3... plus my trip to Hawaii coming up next month... So I think it's time to clean out the old closet, and synth rack Fortunately for you (and probably unfortunate for me), I'm not going to lie to you about the condition of this equipment like I was lied to when I got it. I will include all known issues here, and pictures on request. So, here we go... Clavia Nord Lead 1 - Has the expansion installed. There are a couple scuffs on the body but it's in good condition. The pitch bend and mod wheel don't work for some reason. It might be fixable, but I really don't know how to go about it. Other than that, its a pretty badass synth that is easy to get the hang of. http://reviews.harmony-central.com/r...Nord+Lead/10/1 Korg DSS-1 - Needs a floppy disk to operate. I haven't gotten a sound out of it yet, because I have no floppy drive to load the waveforms onto the disk, but it does turn on and searches for the sounds on disk. Few scuffs, nothing major. http://glenstegner.com/dss1/home.html Korg Poly800 w/ Moog Slayer filter mod - Has the filter mod installed and is repainted (greenish with blue sides, pics on request). I haven't used this in months, but from what I remember, it works well. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Korg_Poly-800 Oberheim Matrix 6 - The left output doesn't work (might just need to be resoldered; I haven't opened it up to see). One of the filter voices does not work, so basically if you have a patch with a low filter frequency, every so often the oscillator will act as if there is no filter on it. I've used this to my advantage on some songs, and it might just need to be resoldered or something (as I said, i haven't opened it up). Other than that, the synth is in great condition. Of course there are a few scuffs, which is to be expected from something over 20 years old, but nothing major. I wouldn't be getting rid of this one if I wasn't so lazy to troubleshoot it and fix it up... http://www.sonicstate.com/synth/oberhiem_matrix6.cfm Redsound Darkstar XP2 - This little synthbox is in full working order, great for DJs and dance musicians (or whatever you want to use it for, really). No known issues with this one, I just don't use it much because I ran out of outputs on my MIDI interface. www.vintagesynth.com/misc/darkstar.shtml E-MU 1820m - I LOVE this interface. If I wasn't confined to a laptop/firewire interface setup, I would not be getting rid of this thing. It is in excellent condition and always worked perfectly for me. Easy to install, and the Patchmix and DSP effects make this a really powerful interface. http://www.emu.com/products/product.asp?product=9871 Event TR-5 Studio Monitors - These are in great condition, really good monitors for a home setup (I still use them as well as my Blue Sky's to help mix). http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/dec0...es/eventtr.htm Also considering selling my guitar, which is a Dean with a Floyd Rose bridge. I'm not a guitarist, so I don't know much more than that, but I would be happy to provide pictures if interested. Oh yeah, and a Behringer Eurorack UB1202 as well. http://www.behringer.com/UB1202/index.cfm?lang=eng Make me some offers and I'm sure we can work something out! I'm located in Tampa, Florida P.S. Will DEFINITELY accept a trade for a PS3 if anyone is interested in that (terms can be worked out, im pretty flexible). |
