Still, I hope the SG's take less damage or the meds gren gets reduced in power sometime soon.
Lol i'm right there with you...i had to go thru and make up cfg's for a lot of stuff b/c it's so diferent (in a good way mind you)

Was so wierd...i hand't played tfc in like 2wks b/c i have been on FF all the time and i played in a match last night (TFC) and I just coulnd't believe how diferent it was. Actually found myself missing somethings from FF!

one frag wont take out a level 3 sentry. one frag will however take a level 1/2. sentries aren't supposed to take a lot, they're supposed to rely on the engineer!

i agree merv, i was quoting him for the slowly climbing out to TFC thing not the Sg thing. I like sg's as they are now except i think they lock on too quickly.

Hmmm, I'm not convinced about the L3 and a single gren.

I appreciate the dev team have probably set the damage level so that the L3 is meant to survive a gren, but scout's honour - a single gren seems to be the death of my poor wee SG on lots of occasions - even with me whacking it during the attack. And like I mentioned before, its at full health and armour and at L3.

I'm gonna pay real close attention in the next week or so and see if those pesky medics ain't chuckin' 2 grens at me rapid fire instead of just one, or if there is another source of damage being inflicted at the same time, ie, a shotty or the close proximity to a wall or something like that.

If I learn anything new, I'll report back.

In my experience (i play engineer more than any other class) my SGs will survive a direct hit from a single frag grenade, but not if someone has been firing at them with a shotty/nailgun.

Are you talking about how autoreload does not work occasionally, or the single shotgun reload? The former is a bug, but the latter is an animation issue and they do not yet have an animator.

The ones mentioned above plus some glitches, such as if auto reload is on, and if you shoot a pipe from the demoman PL, then as the reload animation starts switch to GL and shoot a grenade, the reload stutters for the GL.

  • Fixed sentrygun not being able to retarget closer targets
  • Fixed sentrygun to favor all visible players over buildables(if they got a player as a target they will not target a buildable, regardless of distance)

Wait, what DrEvil was saying...the 2nd one about fixing the sg shooting another buildable...I don't get it.

Is it saying it's fixing how a sg would target a player and shoot an sg near the player? SG accidently shooting another one? I dunno what this means...enlighten me please

what happened was, currently, if there were a cluster of sentries grouped closely together, and a spy was able to sabotage them all, they would endup destroying each other once the spy activates the sab, instead of killing enemy players first, because they would attack the closest thing(the other sgs). This can be a problem if a dispensor was targetted and it blew up, killing the spy who happens to be running in the range of the exposion. So instead of targeting buildables(like sgs and dispensors), it prioritize players first, then buildables, regardless of distance. I think that's what the fix is saying.

[edit] by the way, does anyone know if some of the maps will also be tweaked, like ff_well and the spawn sniper-blocking and spamming issues?
