The stupidest thing you did

Here, discuss anything related to technology you have done... in a very stupid manner.

Ex. For me...

I thought watercooling meant actually putting water on the system. I lost my comp shortly afterwards

*EDIT* Changed thread name! Now just discuss anything stupid you did! This shouldn't be in the Tech subsection now, though O_o

Well, it wasn't really "stupid", as necessary. I opened the Hard Drive of my Commodore 128, and used my fingers to "break it loose". Back then, if a HD was powered down improperly, it could "lock" in place. Usually this only happened on older drives, and Seagates were notorious for it if they were over 5 years old.
I managed to get the data off of it, but was never able to find a replacement.

Oh, christ, reminds me of when my old CD drive was dieing, it used to spin things up stupidly fast, then eject the CD and the CD would go flying, being the child I was, I enjoyed it, LOTS, I ruined near on 40 CDs that day.

I had formatted my computer and inserted my win98 cd rom that must have had a little chip on the rim cause the drive loaded/spun the disk fast and it exploded inside the drive shattering into pieces. Shatterd pieces where flying around inside it for what seemed like ages. *tink tat tink tink tink*.

More electrical really..

This was a very long time ago, something was up with a multiple socket extension lead, I left the room to get a screwdriver and came back removing the shell not realising that I hadn't unplugged it, I pushed myself off the floor to get up putting my hand inside it. *vizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz*

Fried a mate's brand-new 500 Mhz cpu by not installing the cooler before the first "test" run. He wasn't happy.

Took out a harddisk & mainboard, and scarred my Opinel's blade, by messing around in the computers open power unit.

Can't think of any more for the moment.. there must be tons though.

I almost did that once with a 2500+... Ooooh I think it was a Barton core. The thirty pound Thermaltake Volcano 7+ had snapped off of the socket. Fortunately UPS had SOMEHOW managed to get the front panel wires off of the motherboard.

This was shipped from Australia fully built, my first system. Spent four hours trying to get that damned heatsink to stay on again.

The first 10 mins, I was trying my best to take care of it.
Then I decided to go on a Tamatchi killing spree

Tamagatchi's where the shit.

I've never really done anything stupid. I guess it's because I'm awesome like that.

Except I did like the game Claymates.

OMG I LOVED THAT GAME! Used to play it all the time with my little brother, I don't remember a single thing about the objectives or anything now, but that game rocked!

i got off lucky and nothing ended up scratched/cut/impaled....except my computer keeps freezing on me now, which causes me to suspect perhaps, something was scratched
