ya theres some bug going on in the forums. I believe everyone is getting that error. You just have to refresh the page and it will work. I saw the same type of "could not connect to database" on the main FF page (for the news part). I am guessing they are having problems with their mysql server (just guessing they are using mysql.. everyone does). Seems more likely a hosting issue then FF's issue.

I get that error sometimes, a refresh fixes it. I dont know whats causing it. Possibly a timeout setting is too low.
I know we are moving to a new server in February, which will make things alot smoother. |

When you guys do move to a new server in feb. you guys are welcomed to use the forums on my site: http://www.chaos-realms.com . to maybe help with space and Brandwidth when u release the file. If you guys do decide to possibly use my site, ill set up another forum section on the site for you guys.
And one note about my site, its not completly done yet, but about 85% done and up. still have to work on the site and a few extra features in the forums Sidenote: I cant wait till this mod comes out! |

getting the same thing
Getting the same database message error using Mozilla Firefox. Boy was it a pain to register...but eh, refresh multiple times seemed to work....eventually.
I vote hosting issue. |

Looks like the hosting company of the database limits the number of connections to the database at any one time. :/

I use Firefox as well
And get the same error, just hit refresh until the page loads. It will eventualy work all it takes is patience. It is annoying but I'm sure as time grows it will become more likely. |

The original thread for these errors was January 2005... I think it's no longer giving errors.
