no quad in duel you shithead! point valid for ffa and tdm though. Replace quad argument with ra/mega spawns for duel and you're g2g

As far as something like a helicopter or huey are concerned, in most cases I can easily take both either in one life so I fail to see how I am at a disadvantage. Strella RPG has 2 shots. Plus, if you succeed at killing the enemy before they get said killstreaks, then you have nothing to worry about.
All good points, I guess my main gripe is that it's something AI controlled that is very powerful (unlike the sentry gun in TF, which is basically the engy's main weapon and needs player maintenance to survive).
It gives free kills to somebody who is already doing well.
If I am bad for being unable to avoid getting killed by them (and yes I am shit at CoD), then in high-level gameplay are the killstreaks useless? I still don't really understand or enjoy them. CoD just isn't my game. The single-player campaigns are fun, however.

Well fans can probably be disregarded since they almost always come with the case. Don't really need to buy more unless you're overclocking.

Well if you want to act under the assumption that the person doesn't already have a computer, or a desk, or a chair, for you know, writing papers, checking email, using non-game software, you may as well compare it to console:

+media stand

I still have Crystal Chronicles. Never really played it. I mean, it is a bit dumb that you couldn't just play it with the controllers....

Wouldnt recommend skimping if your gonna be buying a gaming rig. It can get expensive, but the higher quality parts you get, the longer it is before you have to dish out more cash to upgrade.. Though, dont go top of the line unless you have a few grand burning a hole in your pocket.
Why my dual core was shitting out, this is what i got:
  • Corsair 4GB DDR3 PC10666 $129.99
  • ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO Socket AM3 Motherboard $100.00
  • Windows 7 64bit Home Premium $99.99
  • AMD Phenom II Black Edition X4 965 3.4 ghz 179.99

Also got a case for another 100. Ended up being around $600 dollars (not including shipping) for pretty much a brand new pc that i have no trouble maxing games out in. I did use parts from my old dual core like the DVDr, 9800gt 1gb, Razer DeathAdder, 500gig hdd, and the 800watt PSU.
Always remember to get a PSU with more voltage than you need, to not only promote better performance, but to leave room for future upgrades.

Yup it has dropped like a rock. While I dislike newegg take a look at their ram prices...

DDR3 in general
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...rchResult=True

8gigs (2 4gig sticks)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...e&Pagesize=100

16gigs (4 4gig sticks)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...e&Pagesize=100

I wish I had a system that could take DDR3, I'd grab 16 gigs at once.

Yes it does and I still get nailed with higher prices and shipping prices, the reason is because newegg.ca's warehouse is in the US and not in Canada so everything has to be shipped over the boarder. And at least a few months back most things still included shipping costs, though I have seen more and more items with free shipping.

So I shop around and look for the best deals. I have to take price, shipping, 15% taxes and the boarder into consideration.

And no I don't live close enough to the boarder to just zip across and pick up somethings from a post office box and then drive back.
