That's definitely the problem with DS-type games...really not enough room to randomize and mix the storyline. Though I have to say that I am amazed at the amount of decent content that can be dropped into a 32 or 64MB image. The company for which I develop takes 20-30x that space for very static content. Our games are pretty and seem to draw customers but I think the DS really shines in packing decent content into a tiny package.

Fire Emblem : A good board strategy game.
Chrono Trigger : The additions made to the DS version make it a good buy.
