Status of death nades?

The latest journal entry about pyros and 'throwing out all your nades because you know you are gonna die' made me think about death nades. Is it going to be possible to script dropping a nade on death? Personally, I think its lame spam that should be removed with the rest of the nade spam.

Probably been answered previously but I couldn't find it with a search.

It would be hard to script it IMO as the trigger would be you being DEAD, and therefore unable to use any weapons. d:

I suppose it could be done if it was set up to do it when your health was low...

yeah I dont think its possible to script that. You could make a script that launches all your grenades with one button

Which really wouldn't gain you that much since it's just as easy to hit both your grenade buttons a bunch of times really fast.

I think he meant: Is the drop-nade-on-death feature of TFC (death while priming drops the nade on your body) going to be implemented in FF?

I find death nades amuse me. Get through a good DM and win, then don't get far enough away from gren radius.. death.. "Arse!". Cue wry smile.

At least with FF the gren radius is lessened so may not happen as much

About half the reason I play TFC is to watch the chump that just killed me stand around on my corpse while the gren I had primed goes off.

It's exactly as funny every single time.

But, uh, what was k9 saying about a script?

hes talking about a script that would prime all your grenades when you are about to die... i think.

which can't be done.
You can't trigger anything in any other way than by pushing/releasing a button and last time I checked, there was no die button on my keyboard. Not even a low on health button...

He was just asking if it was possible to create such a script. To which it was already answered that no, it's not possible to have a script that will automatically do that when you die. However, it would be possible to have a script that will toss out all your nades by pressing a single button that you could press when you are about to die.

necro had one once...it basically spun him around 360 throwing all his nades on the ground when he was about to die. Funny, yes, useful no :P

Watching the guys body you just fragged get sent flying from his dropped nade is funny. Will be better after code updates to all the gibbing, decap and blood decal stuff too..

when you die in FF and you have one primed does the nade still drop straight down even though you were being pushed by something like a rocket?
