WF2?
Maybe this has been asked before, but here goes:
What is the difference between TF/FF and Weapons Factory/WF2? On the WF2 it said Weapons factory was originally a Quake 2 port of TF, and that there were few differences, so I figured WF2 was basically the TF of Source. But then I found this place? Can anyone explain the signifcant differences between what this mod will be, and what WF2 will probably be? |

Well, for one the WF for HL2 team seems pretty content with recoloring CS:S models.

Not to say anything bad about the guys as they can do alot better than me, but WF for HL was a bit...amateurly done. As been said, they've recolored CS models and claimed they made them. IMO WF is like TFC, only in WF you don' t have to use your brain...at all.

How don't you use your brain in WF? Yes, WF for HL1 was a piece of crap...but WF for Q3A and Q2 was amazing. Especially Q3. The rocket jump-grappling techniques and such were so awesome and especially the gameplay. Defense especially you had to use your brain, but you probably never even played so whatever.

So before you get offended again HALF-LIFE and HALF-LIFE 2. And no, I haven't played either of them on the Q2 or Q3A engine, which is probably why I never mentioned it in the first place. You did. |

Me either, I've been trying to figure out why it is even being done in the first place. I had never heard of the Quake versions of the game. I remember one day I seen "Weapons Factory Updated" on PHL so I figured I'd download it. To me it was like a poor mans TFC, only without the T, F, or C. It was like a beta of TFC with Half-Life models. If I was him I'd close shop and apply to do something constructive for the FF team.

The fact of the matter is that is doesnt matter which one you like or which one is better, that is a stupid arguement.
the quake 2 version is very different from TFC in many different ways. Yet there are many similarities in the two. If you want to know what QWTF was like, go play Enemy Fotress Territory, it is free, and is almost a complete clone of QWTF. |

I don't really want to dig topic out, but it would be nice to know if somebody still has the alpha of this mod.
