Glad to see real issues are now being looked at. I haven't played the game in months but that's mainly b/c first and far most I am PC illiterate. I like so many were crashing over and over again. Except the differents between me and many others is explaining how to fix it won't help me. First you have to explain in detail how to turn the monitor on if you get my drift. But when I did actually get it to work from time to time I couldn't see what's going on. Players seem to blend too well into the dark maps. And grenades seemed extremely small and hard to track. In short I kept dying and not knowing why, which is very frustrating. I always knew how I died in TFC, even when I was a rookie. Anyways, my point is it sounds like ya'll are now hitting the big problems.

Here is a list of questions I have:
1. If i load up the new version, is it likely it'll stop crashing?
2. Did ya'll do anything to fix the FPS issue. It seemed alot of people where geting very low FPS including me.
3. When you do fix the models as so they are more recognizable like you said in the post, and smooth out the game do ya'll plan to re-release it as the finish product w/ advertisement in PC gamer websites, probably thanking the supporters that helped test out the beta version and what not. So the general public knows that it is now a smooth running finish product.

Shaggy use this link in for the FortressForever_1.11_Full.exe
Then try the game and if your still having issues make a post here with your pc specs Technicnal Help

And pay attention to what is going on when it crashes.

Nice to see FF is still alive, but with me mainly playing skills maps these days I still can't see myself playing much mainly because of the issues with grenade friction and walls.

If you either recoded the grenade friction to be more similar to TFC or somehow made it map specific via lua I'm sure alot of the skills community would get behind the mod. So much more can be done in source mapping but friction slowing down concs/grenades upon hitting walls severely limits what is possible in terms of jumps.

While I'm on the subject of skills related issues I may as well mention the annoying problem (intended or not) of teleporters maintaining speed while going through them. As an example in TFC if you were to fail a jump you would be teleported back to the start, now in FF the same happens but you maintain you forward momentum making you constantly fall onto the trigger_teleport making it an almost endless cycle of tedium.

Finally there's the insane power of a tripple conc, the first 2 go as expected but the third (hand held) seems like a rocket has exploded up your arse. I'm guessing this is some sort of side effect of the double jumping?

I'm not sure if quad/god was ever fixed as I lost interest in the mod after the initial disappointment over the above issues, if it hasn't this would obviously have to be sorted as well, if not never mind.

I'm sure if the above few problems were rectified then majority of the skills community (which is one of the most active parts of TFC today) would be more than willing to transfer over to FF. If none of this is sorted then it's almost pointless.

EDIT: nice to see the bh speed being increased. That was one of my few problems with CTF.

See? It seems as if people are still in the dark about the new updates ff 1.1... I think there should be a wide spread announcement made via the steam community page, as well as a new news/announcements item when you startup FF.

yea need something like other games have when you start up FF and are out of date it should tell you that, if thats possible to code into FF ofc.

I just love that the visual are going to be improved. I wish I had no life and could go back and pull the names of the people that swore the visuals were fine and I was an idiot for saying they needed to be fixed.
