Games For Commuters
So as you may or may not know, I commute about an hour and a half to and from college each day via bus. I have an iPod and a Nintendo DS. Do you have any recomendations for cheap and GOOD games for my DS and/or anything good to listen to (or play) on my iPod?
As for watching videos on my iPod I'm not that big of a fan, mainly because it takes ages to convert :-\ Oh ya: The iPod Videos SUCK. Seriously reconsider buying a new iPod. I'm hoping for a firmware upgrade to fix the problems. |

Wow, my iPod Video rocks so hard! With 4 seasons of Monty Python's Flying Circus on board with fantastic quality, I'm never bored on my trip to school every morning.

Never had a problem on my 30gig white video, but I'll let you know when I pick up one of the 80's in a month or so how they are. And we cant recommend music without knowing what you like.
EDIT: XP computer also, running the new iTunes. No problems. |

I recently got a 30gig ipod video and i love it. No lagging, crashing or nothing. Its just awesome. I considered the 80gb but i didnt really need the space as i use it mostly for music but ive used it a bit for video aswell. Sad to hear that your having problems with yours tho :\

I remember hearing about problems with the 60gig versions but they fixed them with a firmware update from what I remember, not to sure if the fix was passed onto the 80gb

I have an 80 and I'm not happy.
I might go in to the apple story. I had to re-set it 3 times already BC it just wouldn't play. You press play and it showed play but the time bar didn't move or anything. All I need it to do is play music when I press play. If a MP3 player can't do that it's shit. My old 4gen 40 gig was TOTALY AWESOME. But it was killed by a friend. ... I'll post that story later... |

Shit, I hope that isn't common with the 80gb ones, I need one of those to go alongside my 30 soon and I cant really see the point in going for anything less (I dont want to carry 12000 songs on cd's in my truck, mp3 or not)
How long have you been having the problems for? Have you checked around to see if it's common? Why haven't you waranteed it! |

DS? Castlevania games ftw.
Also you should look into running homebrew my man... there is a lot of cool stuff out there, including the ability to run ROMs. Nothing passes the time like a good game of Earthbound, Secret of Mana, Link to the Past, Sonic (the first one, of course), Bonk... good stuff. |

Contact, an action rpg new super mario bros. mega man zx, like the classic mega mans, not that battle network shit dragon quest heros: rocket slime, what an unbelievably fun game to play advance wars either of the castlevania games meteos metroid prime hunters and mario kart. |

I agree. Aside from the fact the PSP doesn't have a single game I want to play on it, it's amazing. My reasoning? It costs more. Blah has the nail firmly hit on the head really; it's better because I said so.
