It's all about personal preference my friend. But you pretty much destroyed all the detail on the tape by turning it black

This includes view and world models.
Again, just edit the v_kunai.vmt to say "v_kunai_dark" if you want dark or _light if you want light. It will change the world model also so they match.

Thanks for the praise on the model guys.

I don't see why the tape looks cheap on my screenshot since I have AA and texture quality cranked up.

It is a personal preference, most people I talked to said the tape looked cheap and toonish. The black makes it more realistic.

I'm guessing the tape looks cheap beacuse of UV stretching. In easier terms the handle could have been UV'd better. It may have been my texture as well.

The handle is cylinder wrapped so it can't be stretched unless you stretched your own texture.

I still think it's the UV. I found and error while skinning it.

Anyways lets just forget about it. The hand pretty much covers the whole handle anyways so it doesn't really matter

Probably because you increased the amount of polies in the handle on your version while I compiled it with my version.

looking at all of these renditions, default knife is by far the best. all of these knives are way too large looking from the images. personally, i'd rather have a smaller model for sure that's less distracting.

i might actually give a shot at using no models since the HUD shows what weapons being used...

Well I've used this for a few solid weeks and I'd like to bring up a few suggestions:

1) Could we please have a smaller model? Maybe 50% smaller.
2) World model please! It'd be easier to make than the _v model, wouldn't it?
3) I'd also like a reversed _v model (blade pointing down) for those who'd want it, with stabby stabby motions.

If you're up for it Jester, or anyone...
