Dev Journals?

Last one dated in 2009. Plan on getting back into it, or was that just a bad idea?

We are lazy.

And writing about working on the game is not as fun as actually working on the game. Hopefully we will get back to writing news and blogs soon as we near the next patch.

Well, one, Not everyone is a writer. Two, many players threaten to quit, complain, or tarnish FF when they hear one thing they don't agree with. I agree dev journals need to happen more(helps put things into focus for the writer and team), but considering how much care there has to be handling beta announcements/class updates, I just don't know. I think we are going to start posting front page updates much more, so that is a good start.

Don't think you need to write about upcoming patch contents and other secrets only. people appreciate any sign of activity these days. just something to let everybody know the mod ain't completely dead yet. if it's a joke or "hey guys, we are still working on it and the next patch is gonna be extraordinary!" (no matter if it's a lie or not, just something to excite the people), it doesn't matter.

Whenever I heard about a mod, that sounded interesting to me, I went to check their websites. whenever their main page hadn't been updated for a while I didn't download the mod and moved on to the next. I assumed it's dead and not worth my time. if others with the same opinion visit the FF page, you can imagine what's gonna happen.

I've been waiting for a certain point in my FF work for me to share stuff with people. I expected that point to come months ago but what I was working on kept giving me troubles. I've finally fixed it as of last two days ans so I hope to have some stuff to share soon.

Well, I don't know about any others, but I've been doing a lot of sports writing for nearly a year now(for the < now defunct>Baltimore Mariners AIFA team, and the Baltimore Ravens NFL team), as well as working on the other books and short stories I have underway. I also have a full-time job.

I'm not saying I have time to do weekly updates, quite far from it. With the proper info from the Devs, I could probably work out bi-weekly or monthly updates for the front page, Twitter, Facebook, and the forums.

That was possibly the simplest question I've ever asked and it came through with so many good answers lol.. Chances are I'll keep doing this to get some more active interest. That was practically a 1 question interview in which dev's conveniently answered. Way to freshen up

You could try to get an interview with either Robin Walker, John Cook or Ian Caughley and ask them if they have played FF yet and what they think of it plus the usual questions.

Its like wtf, print screen some pictures upload it to image host of ff training ff warpath whatever, and post them in main page, so when people hear ff is dead and double chek with the main page are wrong.

If no one does this i think ill do my own post with news and the features that I thnk will be in 2.42.

2.42 was last announced like three months ago. I believe the intention at the time was to release it as an intermediate patch because 2.5 was too far down the road. Yeah, again, that was three months ago. What more can I say?
