You are thinking of art class. My English teachers told me ain't was proper and that run-on sentences were the key to making good literature and made me talk like Jim in Huck Finn and also that Nathanial Hawthorne is Edgar Allen Poe's uncle and that Benjamin Franklin was the 12th President but I knew it was actually Herbert Hoover who really wrote Treasure Island. No wonder I hate English-type classes.
