Yeah, unless you use itunes for downloading there is really no need in using it. Plenty of better alternatives.

for my Sister in the past but since she doesn't use the services on itunes I put here on Media Monkey

NOD32 & Kaspersky are the best.

NOD32 is nice and out of the way. Great detection doesn't hog resources.
