Player Limit

Is it posible to lower the max amount of players a server is allowed via configs? Not by class, but take a 20 man server, down to 10 man server when I run a certain config, then back to a 20 man an another .cfg?

nvm, found it:

maxplayers [playernumber] - Change the maximum number of players allowed on this server.

yes but you have to associate that cfg with the map being played. Unless you do it manually.

What im doing here is trying to have a .cfg i can run, that i can turn on and play some OVD clan style maps on with a limit of 5v5 or w/e. Cause some of the newer maps made are alot of fun with few people, but not fun at all with 10v10.

Here is a copy of my .cfg i made. Pls make an attempt to use it sometimes so we can teach the newer players about OVD and hopefully we'll develop a natural habit to OVD on games smaller than 10 people with the newer players.

That would be fine. If your running sourcemod admin then you can edit your adminmenu.cfg file to show that specdific cfg or just type sm_execcfg "ovd.cfg" in console. I'm not sure about the echo "OFFENSE VS DEFENSE" at the top. You might just have to tell them that that map is OvD.

The servercfgfile command will keep that cfg loaded even on map change.

So if you want it to automatically go back after that particular map remove that line or be sure to reload your normal server.cfg file.
