Man, just for shits and giggles I tried that program with TFC... it had worse jump timing than I did. Couldn't keep up speed at all, even with a sleep of 1 millisecond.
Not exactly related to the thread, but why start another one just to bitch?

No need to crouch, but the object does have to be flat. You will notice we mostly favour flat object, and although other objects (such a buckets) can be used, it is much more hit and miss.

How do i make it so when the spacebar is held it does the auto bunny hop? I dont understand that program at all...

I played with it for awhile and didn't use balls for a script/hotkeys config.
I just jumped, put the shiz (piece of wood) under me, and kept hammering the spacebar...you just have to get the timing down. I got pretty diece, i could imagine how much easier it would be to use a script or something, but for climbing over walls, or flying around for a while its unecessary; you just gotta practice beotches! |

It is possible without using the script, but its more effective and easier with it. Plus after some of the long sections of bhopping, if u *somehow* managed to do it all without the script, i think your finger would have a spasm of some kind.

I've watched this video like 3 times by now. I've kinda been following HL2DQ for a while (in fact, I held the record in one map on phase A for about 5 minutes )
My favorite part is right at 00:46:59 when he *utterly* flattens the poor stupid combine soldier who couldn't even turn around. I can just imagine his corpse sliding like a mile down the beach. Actually, most of my favorite parts are on the coast, like right at the beginning when he breaks like 3 of his shins getting down to the beach, or when he trimps right over the wall just after he undoes that soldier. Or the trimp off the bridge railing model at 47:58. I mean, that's aim. Damn. I also like all the NPCs talking about how fast gordon made it down the canal. The production of this video is amasing too, like the way they recorded everything without music, then layed the music tracks back on over the video so it wouldn't cut off or get screwed up at level transitions. Btw, flying around on a wood pallette or a bench is super super easy without a script. I just can't do shit like flying on a popcan or tiny little splinter. Oh yea, I also like the gunship that goes crashing down into the citadel at the very end. I laughed for like 10 minutes. |
