?? erm.. I really, really doubt the record is 35 minutes. The 1 hour 35 min record CANNOT be beaten now - They removed LOTS of bugs that allow you to do the things that were done in the movie.

I'd have to agree ...tooo many bugs. Flying bug in FF would be chaotic. I wonder if this was the BIG UPDATE valve did back in August that screwed up FF when compiled. Valve saw the video and said...UPDATE!!! |

This video, btw, was done by a bunch of different people. It's a non single-segment run, and each person loaded the save file of the previous record and continued from there.
Flying around on props, if it still works, was pretty easy on the right prop. The wooden pallete or a metal bed frame worked really well. With the pallete, lay it on the ground, step back, then run at it and jump over it. You don't need to sprint. When you're directly over it, look down, hit use, and spam the jump button. If you grab it at the right time it'll be direcly under you and you'll be 'holding' it. You need to look horizontal right after you grab it. Looking up further increases your altitude, and looking down will make you fall, but also has a good chance of making you let go of the prop. Looking up too far makes you slide off too. The wooden bench and metal bed are easy to use because they're long and therefore easy to stay on, and they have edges that actually hold you on. I never figured out how to roll up a wall on a barrel or pop bottle, but I think it's based on the same glitch. |

Yeah, what he said. You can't do it anymore though. Hence why no one will ever beat the 1 Hour 35 record.

This is hilarious, the coast section is mad, cant wait to get the FF concs out!
What i dont get is at the hour mark in nova prospect prisons, its the bit where you set up the sentries and LOADS of soldiers pile in, he just hides for ages, then when he appears theres only like 2 guys i was stuck on that bit for ages lol |

I watched this whole thing which may or may not be sad; i haven't decided yet. But the best part is towards the end of the prison levels where the guy starts out bhopping, nade jumps with the rifle secondary, in mid-flight whips out the crossbow, hits a wall and shoots an arrow looking down to get one last boost over some ledge. at the very instant he gets over the ledge he headshots some guy across some plank with the crossbow. that ten seconds was worth the entire download & watch. i hafta say that the overall movement seemed to be much improved from the last one. some of the tricks were ridiculous. regardless if they were using an autojump.
