Twilight Princess (And the Zelda series as a whole) Discussion
So...I'm way behind the times and finally got Twilight Princess for the Wii...loving it so far. Any one else here a huge fan of the Zelda series?

Yar, TP is a fun game, felt kind of lacking for side quests to do in comparison to Ocarina of Time and even Wind Waker.
And yes, I thought WW was the shit, fun as hell. I want a good GC emulator so I can play it again (don't have a Wii nor a GC anymore). Last edited by Lost; 08-05-2009 at 01:18 AM. |

Majora's Mask was decent, but after playing Orcarina start to finish about 10 times, I wa sick of seeing the same characters, and Majora's really lacked that. Plus, MM was fucking easy as hell.
Long live Orcarina, and Link to the Past. Best Zelda games, period. TP was alright. |

I really enjoyed TP but the game felt short or I was too addictive to the game; playing it non stop... dunno
Beat it in 32 hours

lol I was JUST talking about this yesterday. I freeking loved TP, but I never got to finish it. I'm at the very last area (haven't gone in yet), wont spoil but that's how far I am. And my save game data is floating around at my mother-in-laws house in Florida b/c my wife thought it would be a great idea to send her our wii since "we have two with your brother's" so now I'm boned...b/c I am not rs'ing that shit.
But I am a HUGE zelda fan. Like, I plan on getting the tri-force as a tatoo somewhere b/c zelda is the definition of video games to me, and my cat's name is Midna.

I thought Twilight Princess was a much better game than OOT. While OOT was good, it had some serious flaws that were overlooked. For example, I was unable to get another key because I had used them on things that would not net me access to more keys. Another was the fact that it was incredibly easy.
With that said, OOT had a more open world RPG feel to it than TP, but TP had much better dungeons, world design, gameplay, and items. However, I felt MM was the best ever. I don't think anything can beat it.

MM is bad ass since it had a bunch of side quest and you can do on certain days

I loved Wind Waker as well. Amazing game, underrated due to the graphics, but very fun.
LttP is my favorite though. Some of the best. And Twilight Princess is...slowly creeping over OOT for me.

I liked TP and love the zelda series but TP did not have enough side quests. I kept backtracking and searching so i wouldnt miss anything and there was hardly anything to be missed. I prefer OoT and LTTP

It seemed like they streamed most of the sidequests into the main game. There's the golden bugs...poes. I think that's really about all of the ones you could choose to not do.

Well, if you don't include all of the little quests they MAKE you do.

I think, by definition, side quests ARE the quests they dont make you do. Under that assumption, there are only 2 side quests. Pretty weak. Plus, the side quests are the gathering type quests, which suck compared to say, the Biggeron's sword side quest.
