Superb, they managed to make cutting edge technology look uglier than Bernard Manning in a gurning competition recreated on the build engine. I'm guessing this was someone's first foray into map editing :P Good for them, a waste of time for us, though

Well it's a beginning point to start from so that could be pretty cool.
The ramp room looks kinda funky though...I'll agree, it is a bit generic-looking. |

the map is running on 195.224.41.43:27015 Wireplay HL2DM #1 [Friends of Wireplay]
the problem i find is, you hold the "flag" with your grav gun and you can't defend yourself with a weapon |

That just adds and interesting twist. In Halo you can't shoot while carrying the flag. It increases teamwork since you need someone protecting you in order to cap. That or you have to be really sneaky.
Granted you could also kill your assailantes by shooting the flad at them (or can you? I haven't played the map). But the intent is still there. I'll just go back to Neo-TF/Regular TF until this mod comes out. |

I've been playing this level on
206.51.226.192:27016 {SAS}Clan Server #3 - SAS-CLAN.NET The only trouble is there are never any players on there to play against. I've been trying to find more servers that run this mod, but I haven't found any others, except the ones listed here in these forums. Is there like a list of servers with this gunball mod, or something? |

They might want to work on the respawn time of those barrles, the server i played on had no regulations.
So yeah, I'm not a good person, I filled the ramp room with close to 100 gasbarrles and then just waited for the enemy to come in. |

It looks like when I play Hl1 on software mode and as if i let a 3 year old use crayon to paint the place. So much possible with the source engine, and it was depressing to see it wasted. I could have waited a few weeks more for something amazingly beautiful or designed with so much new stuff that source is basically written on the walls. I guess Ill just wait for FF to pump out something amazing. I saw what was done with SD2 and was simply amazed at not only the architecture but the innovation. The creativity that goes into the FF mapping teams mind is simply amazing, if all of the team shares the ingenuity previewed through SD2's Switch room. But this. I dont want to call this 2fort.
