My dream is to get 4 monitors arranged in a square for working in Hammer, so I can have a whole monitor for each viewport.

My LCD is rated at -1ms. It's so fast, it goes backwards in time.

Im not sure anyone would not play better going from a 17 to a 20 inch or larger. You just see more than you normally would. Sniping its a big help generally. I have never gamed on anything smaller than a 19 inch so thats my only basis for a differance. |

Going to a big monitor doesn't let you see more, it stretches the same image over a larger area.

Viewing a picture on my cell phone compared to the same picture on my monitor, I see more detail on the monitor. Even though the borders are the same. Good analogy? On games that support widescreen you see more to either side than you would with a standard monitor. |

Yeah on games that support it, but if you go from a square monitor, to a bigger square monitor, there's no change. Unless you also up the revolution, but even then you don't see more in-game.

While the feild of view isn't bigger I see more on a bigger monitor. Like being closer to the picture and see the small things you typically don't see on a smaller screen. You have to up the resolution to really take advantage. But say im sniping I can target something in the distance much easier on a large monitor than a smaller.

I use a 19in. LCD monitor atm, but around Christmas time I plan on buying a 40in or larger Plasma TV, of which will take the place of my monitor!
Maybe FF will be out by then !K!(@)&*$)@)$nl |

Not really. Insufficient buttons.
Would make a neat wallpaper though.

exactly circ, it stretches it out so the little details that you wouldn't notice are visible (pixelated, but visible but that's when you up the res)

Resolution really isnt the issue. At 1200x1600 on a 19" and 21" the 21 inch wins in my book. I have had lans with ppl bringing a 17 inch just because its easier for them to transport. But then they regret not having the larger screen.
