Valves testers are pretty much Int. and friend-of-friend, I don't think you're in nodnarb =/ Although testing both FF & TF2 would be pretty sweet, be able to 'suggest' ideas

lol, Valve's testers aren't newbs.

A good number of them are old hands at FPS, at least two of them being oldschool TFC players.

It only looks like its sucking, it's actually opening a pinprick hole to a universe made of conc, and that hole sucks in our universe while expelling conc material at the speed of conc, thus flinging you up and out while appearing to be bringing the world around it in.
