Warsow movement is for Quake fanboys, it's rather stupid , there's no real strategy, just jumping around and TRY to aim.

I agree with you about Warsow dming, but for a quick run-about, Warsow can be quite fun due to the movement system; that is all it has though; lack of depth outside of the movement sector.

I don't think I've ever played Warsow DM. When I had it, I'd just load it up and have fun jumping around maps.

I sometimes do this with FF now.

I think the "Yo Medic, right about now funk-soul brother" call is freaking hilarious. It would be nice if the ones with more adult language were configurable, but I doubt the FF staff would do that all things considered. We've dealt with it in Hidden, we'll deal with it in FF is need be.

Yerrr I think they're gonna make it configurable.

It'd take like five seconds.

If it would be a server side configuration that would be great, we would really appreciate it.

Well the server just sends a command to the client to play a med call, its up to the client which call is actually played. So as long as you didnt have it enabled, you wouldnt hear the *dirty* calls.

Devs, correct me if Im wrong.

That's how I'm guessing it works, but Hidden is very specific, each radio call can be specifically fired. Ideally it'd be nice if the server just choose whic calls it would send. For instance:

- Have an array of available engineer and medic calls.
- The arrays are filled at server boot time, based on which .wav files exists. If there's an "eng1.wav" then "Shit! How bout some armor over here?" would be allowed as command 'e1'.

The array would simply be commands like "e1", "e2", which would then be randomly selected and sent to the client when a specific all was made. It would give the server admins the ability to configure which calls were sent and which were not, and would only move one line of code to randomlize the call from the client side app to the server side app.

Again, probably not a priority for the dev team, but it would be nice.

Everyone hears the same medic/engy call, as it is now.

Was that line ("Shit! How about some armor over here?") in a video or something? No way that was just a lucky guess.

NADES ARE A YES! MUST HAVE! MUST MUST MUST!

thats what makes fortress what it is. spam = awesome!. I love having nades. Blowing people up is the best. Keep nades in FF. or make nades an option (yes or no) for servers atleast. No how many each player gets just nades or no nades.

Nades are controlled by the mapper and the mapper alone.

This go me thinking... Is there any collaboration going on with the developers of admin tools?
