What Browser do you use?

Yes, I know this has nothing to do with FF, but this section gets the most views/posts.

I user Chrome Canary, pretty much daily build of Chrome.

Why does it matter? Why is it such an important thing that you have to post it in the FF General Discussion forum so it gets more views?

OH NO CONSPIRACY!!!

I use firefox.

I used to run IE. Because I don't care for the "browser battles" of all these new fangled features that I don't use or care for. (my friends get real elitist about this stuff and I'm all "I don't care I'm just watching porn leave me alone.")

But IE started giving me errors on some sites and I had to, very begrudgingly, switch to firefox.

I use firefox.
The only three browser that matter: Firefox, Opera and Chrome (Safari uses webkit, so you can mix that in with Chrome)

Also, I just wanted to know, don't need to stick your boyfriends cock in your ass. Also, tell him I am sorry about giving his sister crabs.

You are one of the reason why my job sucks at the end of the day. IE is a piece of shit, mixed in with another piece of shit. It does not follow W3C Standards, which means, I have to spend EXTRA time making special CSS files just for those retarded folks. I'm glad the global usage of IE is dropping so much.

Also, try viewing this site in IE http://ro.me , i'll save you time, it won't load.

FF for personal use

IE for work

IT DOESNT LOAD A WEBPAGE THAT USES WEBGL ITS A PIECE OF SHIT GUYS

not that i want to sound like I'm defending IE or anything :P You dont hear web designers complaining about having to put -webkit- or -moz- nearly as much for some reason ..

IE Trident uses it's own standards as well as outdated W3C Standards, they also have there own CSS rules. It's own 'special' rules, such has hasLayout, which can and will screw up sites in IE that work perfectly fine in Chrome,Safari, Firefox, etc. Now, IE8 is better than 7, 9 is better than 8, 10 is much better than 9. But here comes the problem, we now have to deal with 4 versions instead of 1.

About ro.me, it's a good example to show the weaknesses of IE, it shows the user what they are missing. FFS, it's an INTERACTIVE music video not using flash. If Microsoft just sucked it up and used a better web engine, webkit or gecko, and did silent up dates, a lot of cooler website would be done on a professional level.

Here is a comparison chart for HTML5 : http://html5readiness.com/

See how much cool shit IE users are missing out on?

I'll list out some other badass shit :

http://www.vlog.it/
http://adventureworld.ourentry.com.au/
http://www.awwwards.com/ (Just tons of amazin' sites)

Look what I started >< I could go on for hours about cool shit like those sites, and how much fun it's to make them and see them being designed, then you get to IE and I wanna cut myself with a butter knife.

I don't mind doing -webkit, -moz or using CSS3Pie, but -webkit,-moz aren't used as much anymore, because they are all the same now. So border-radius works on all good browsers without the prefixes, and there are prefix scripts that do it all for you anyway. But with IE it's , "Okay, this works in IE8, but not in 7, let me make a different CSS file just to handle all the fixes for 7. Wait, my javascript isn't workin? oh, ie7 is using a OLD ASS JS Engine."

Also, IE doesn't run Javascript as good as Firefox or Chrome.

Most of the -webkit or -moz CSS styles are/were implementations of the standards though. I'm guessing they were added that way while they were in a "testing" phase or something. Microsoft, on the other hand, either adds their own CSS properties (see: element opacity) or doesn't render the standard properties correctly.

IE9 is CSS2-compliant, but has some issues with CSS3. Basic layouts should work fine in IE9. IE10, I think, is where we might actually be able to say IE is compliant with the latest standards.

IE10 is years ahead of 9. It's also a lot faster, what I am worried about is how they will handle updates. Microsoft attended the W3C this year and is taking the standards a lot more seriously then in the years past.

Sorry guys. Didn't know I had to research which browser is on top of the techno game just to watch porn and read forums.

Lol, it's not enough for the internet elitists to know I run FF now. Still slanderized for my un-educated past.

Google's obsession with interface minimalism makes it difficult for me to stomach most of their products. First thing that comes to mind is the android packaging system, with such descriptive and helpful errors as "The program could not be installed on this device." Just because retards exist doesn't mean everyone should walk around with headgear on.

Think about the targeted users, if it said why it's not like it would change anything anyway

Whelp, the software in question is open source so it might. Android itself is open source which draws the type of user base that might be interested. I just kind of wish I didn't have to root my phone and install random 3rd party software to get something that's descriptive about errors and has more than 3 options in the settings menu.

This is why I like the "firefox/gnome/various other linux apps" approach; they use a sort of "red pill/blue pill" approach. You get a menu of herp derp options from the gui, and about:config or the command line if you wan't to actually do anything.
