But this was /.ed already, so I knew abouts it yesterdays. d:

Ten Commandments is one of my favorite movies, and I am far from being religious. The acting is just so awesome.

He probably died with a gun in his hands.

Charlton Heston [was] people!

Sad to see a legend go, even if he hadn't been heard from in a while.

Of all the illnesses you can get the one's like Alzheimer's are the scariest to me. Losing all that you are and all that you know.

I know a few people with it................

it takes everything that you know away and here is a brand new person that has nothing to reference who they are. It is scary but in that situtation when you are bad enough you will never know it is an issue as I see with them. Most that start down the path in my experience have no idea that it is happening or getting progressivly worse. That is why I believe that hopefully someday you will be able to freeze your memories into a video type format to watch them whenever you want too. Imagine being able to record your memories, dreams, fantasys and nightmares onto Blu Ray to watch them in a great picture quality. It will come.

Ay, it's starting to hit my grandma. My grandpa died ~1 year ago, and she's been living alone, but it's at the point where the other day she forgot the names of my cousins, so we're all kind of worried and don't know what to do with her.

I mean I don't think she really realizes it, sort of blissful ignorance if you will but yeah... scary stuff. I think I want to die before I go senile.

On the rare lucid moments you have with Alzheimer's and you ask about your dearest loved ones only to find that they died some time ago you can end up reliving the grief of that loss over and over. That seems like the worst form of torture to me.
