A release?

At the moment, for some reason ive been remembering all my old TFC memories. Cant stop thinking about it. Which makes me come on this site and look at all the media. WHICH MAKES ME WANT TO PLAY!

When will you guys get a release out? What happened to the good old days of when Mods would be released quickly as betas so the public could play them? Is there any chance of you guys releasing a beta build soon? IM DYING TO PLAY WELLS AGAIN!

I'd say even a beta's a long way off. Most of the classes aren't modelled (as far as we know) let alone skinned.

Mods used to come out faster because you didn't have to do as much work. Models use way way way more models, maps have more complicated architecture, textures are higher-resolution... good mods take time.

You don't want them to pull an UNFE and release a game with one class and some maps do you?

Yeah, it'll be a while. I'm like you, when I first posted on this site I was expecting/hoping for an early release but you get used to the fact that its not going to be released tomorrow. Hell, if it was released, 85% of the posters would probably disappear from the forums.

Scratch that, I can imagine many have disappeared from the forums already but its a compromise I guess. Lose players now and hope to get them back when you release a complete mod? Or lose players now and hope to get new players when you have to fix an incomplete mod?

I vote for the former.

fortress forNever.

i spend most of my time in the chat forum nowadays. getting teases and hopes up for a sneak peak was too hard on the brain. I enjoy the group of guys here, whenever there is a release, i consider it a bonus. I have other games to keep me busy, even though What I miss most is being an engy protecting my flag.

but yeah, im the same way. tfc and nfsmw can keep me busy till the unvailing of the grail.
