this site has a great pic of the 3d map. Click the details. http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap030814.html http://www.universetoday.com/am/publ...ap.html?612005 apparently, they've been able to make 2d maps, using the same process for quite a while now. |

Yes. There are quite a few theories treated as fact. Gravitation theory, atocic theory, cell theory, plate tectonic theory, theory of evolution, etc. Much of astronomy lies on theories.

And gravity will remain a theory until it is disproven. Thusly it will never be fact.

There's no such thing as "fact", there are just different levels of theory backed up by varying amounts of proof and lack of disproof.

Yeah its amazing. I just hate how creationists use the word 'theory' as an example of disproving theory.
example, theory cannot be proven, how can you rely on this is it cannot be proven. darwinism dosnt have enough facts to back it it up. if it did, it would be fact. (Theory can be proven, but cannot go through the scientific method). Honestly that was an argument against darwin before. Mind you, there God "fact" is far more poposterious than anything ive ever came upon. |

All things we would consider facts are still theories backed up by a lot of evidence but it still remains a theory and thus not fact since the term "fact" is void. |

There are no facts = Paradox
If there are no facts, then the statement "there are no facts" becomes a fact in itself. |

I think it would be interesting to see what the distribution of this dark matter is in relation to black holes and stars in general. That is if it exists.
