You do realize that no one reads quote wars and the person you are arguing with will never back down? Therefore the war was fruitless. Unlike the gulf war part 2

I'm so tired of you people saying it's pointless to argue. Should we all just shut up and sit in a corner?
I'd like to see other's point of view. I'm not trying to convert them to my faith or forcing my opinion on them. I wanna know what their is and how they conceive it. If you don't wanna argue, go to another thread. Not that argue doesn't have to be people slapping each other and yelling. It can be a discussion or a debate. |

discussion, debate and arguing are all different. I far prefer the first and am sometimes accused of engaging in the second. The third is pointless and annoying. Honestly, I was really interested in Binary coming up with a solid url to show the bigger WMD's...thought maybe I had missed something. Don't think I did. |

We aren't really arguing. Because we all acknowledge that each person has their own, respected point of view. It's intelligent debate. ... Debate. yeah....
For the record (again) my views are NOT that of my government. I have been accused of being hypocriticle for saying that saddam was immoral and we should have invaded him because my government did not. I think they should have. I believe that 15 years ago we should have taken him out of power. If his death was imminent in that situation I have no problem with it. however, a sentence of death is not a decision that can be easily made. I simply believe his power should have been removed, his people freed, and him place in a spot (physically or metaphoricly) where he cannot gain this power again. I am the middle. The mean, the comprimise of most situations. That, I believe is the problem. People think I'm arguing for one particular side, I'm arguing for mine. I believe mine is right. If you prove it's wrong, I certainly have no problem admitting that, and changing what I think, because it doesn't really effect me in any major way. |

He may have been someone that long ago we were willing to listen to or at least let join in the conversation. But he has been a bad boy and needs to be spanked now.
Did I just say that? |
