Flagrun
Name: Flagrun
Status: In Development [ Development Update - 12/17/06 ] Flagrun has been on a slow development cycle, and has been since starting. As one of the Trepids has stated in another thread, most new mappers have a sort of "mapper's block", like writers have "writer's block." I've gone through 100s of versions of the map, lost many textures and whole .vmf files. I admit to impotence, but I also admit to RL issues that get in the way of any activity at all. I would still like to work on this for myself, for my own potential; but if anyone would like to get to working on their own, then go right ahead. I don't believe I will be able to live upto the greatness of some of the mappers here and that the end result will not be as good as I had hoped; at least while real life issues are so pressing and important. 1 Flag in either base, 2 flags in tower in midfieed. Got to have all 4 flags in your own base to win

If you don't keep the "Stolen!" sound I will kill you. That has to be the funniest thing in TFC. It's completely retarded.

i had a lot of fun on flagrun. i think if it had been made earlier in the lineage of TFC, it would've gained a lot more popularity it'd be also nice to see casbah would look in FF. casbah had hl2 written all over it anyway |

Could you maybe make the flagroom a little less easy to defend? I always hated that map 'cause of how frustrating it was to get the flags from a well defended base.
I mean, not that it should be easy but the way the map stands getting the flags from the middle means pretty much more than anything. Also, out of curiosity, has anyone ever played a competitive match on this map? I want to know what it would be like. |

Perhaps if you didn't have to walk through five miles of enemy territory to get near the flagroom, it'd be a little easier for offense.

Yea, I'm still making the map. I've pulled a Duke Nukem Forever on it twice however, mainly because my brushwork was horrid. So far, this time it seems to be doing VERY well. Being that I'm never good with public releases or media, don't expect any for awhile; but for those of you that are interested in this map, rest assured that it is being worked on.
Just don't get your panties in a bunch. |
