Source Racer is kind of fun. I hope it gets improved on later on down the road.

Garry himself however, is another thing all on its own. I do appreciate what he is done but is attitude isn't something I like that much.

He always seemed okay to me, from reading his ongoing posts about his mod on the SA forums.

I'm mostly basing this off of a few interviews I've read. I haven't ever really talked or played with him so I guess I can't say a whole lot. If he'd let some people hop aboard that mod could go really far. But he has pretty much said he is almost done doing what he wants and he is going to release some of code or something for the community he has built to take care of it. Thats what I got from it all anyway. I think that will tear the community up more than anything but then I'm not an expert on anything.

Haha the only interview i've read was the hl2world interview where they kept trying to wind him up (after his mod surpassed their jbmod) and he just made fun of them.

I think its much better for him to release the source to anybody to tinker with and play with, that'll let people to make bigger and better things.

I've finally come around to try AoA. When I joined a server it seemed to be pretty much plain simple HL2DM. However, here's what I read on the website later:
Quote:
Players increase their character's level and enhance their abilities by battling to gain exerience. With higher levels comes training points to upgrade their weapons and attributes.

Your player file is saved to our server during play and when you leave. When you come back to ANY of our servers you will pick up right where you left off.
So I guess it's quite hard to notice anything until you've got someone to fight with.

I think it's gonna be similar to MegaTF/NeoTF.
Atm it's in early alpha stage, I'd rather play HL2CTF now till WF2 is finished. (Or CTF maps for HL2DM.)

hehe I played HL2CTF finally today. We were on one of the 2fort clones. The cap point was where our flag was. I didn't know this and I was using the name "Fortress-Forever.com". I managed to climb all the way up to the batts to cap the flag only to find that isn't where the flag goes. Some other guy was up there with me and he and the rest of the server laughed at me for playing too much TFC. It was great.

HL2:CTF team played against Valve last night.

Quote:
First match Valve beat us 2-0 on ctf_prisonriot. Second match, we beat valve 3-2 on ctf_defrost. The third match was a stalemate, ending at 0-0 on ctf_prisonriot. This leaves the overall score for the match tied up, so we're going to need to do this again in the near future to settle this once and for all!

Kinda cool
