"Korn have always mixed elements of hard rock and hip-hop, but not like this. "Twisted Transistor," the new video from the Bakersfield, California group, is a This is Spinal Tap meets Metallica's Some Kind of Monster-style mockumentary, where the members of Korn are played by some of today's hottest hip-hop artists - singer Jon Davis is channeled by Lil Jon, bassist Fieldy by Xzibit, drummer David Silveria by David Banner and guitarist Munky by Snoop Dogg.

Directed by Dave Meyers (Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Slipknot), the clip shows the rappers acting as Korn while they hysterically endure the trials and tribulations of being in a metal band - shooting music videos, suffering hangovers, dealing with interviews, being on the road and performing live for rabid fans. While hilarity ensues, the rapid flow of the video matches the rugged pace of the song.

You know a band is commercial when their own fans, when discussing said band, copy-paste praise of their latest video, post an itunes link to their latest album, and link to websites for buying tickets for their concert..

edit : Come to think of it, is this thread even allowed ? From where I stand I can only see advertising in the original post.

I used to talk to Jonathan Davis a lot via ICQ and an old visual chat client called the Palace, he's a really nice guy. I haven't listened to KoRn since I was like 13, though.

The played Twisted Transistor on SNL and it wasn't that bad, I'm not really that big of a fan of that song but I heard previews of their other songs and well If you like The Old School KoRn then your going to like their new Album
