I'm having problems getting any of the sprays posted here to work??? I always seem to get the default sprays.

I've extracted the tempdecal.wad...

...Steam\SteamApps\atari@playnice.org.uk\team fortress classic\tfc

Still nothing.

I've since read a site that said to try removing/renaming the "custom.hpk" file, but everytime I do, its re-created when I start TFC.

Anyone?

for some reason you can't see your own sprays while in direct3D mode. switch to openGL, see if it works then switch back (cuz after all, you're not the one who needs to see the spray).

Yep, am using OpenGL anyhow. Can't even see it in the drop-down list, only the defaults :/

why advertise when it's not out?

you'll be getting people all worked up about nothing.

It won't be in the drop-down menu, and the fact that you're looking for it there shows why it won't work. What you can do, is either make tempdecal a read-only, or just stay out of your options. It'll show up after a few rounds.

Thanks Etzell, works fine now. As soon as I seen the part about not looking at the drop-down list it all came flooding back...it's been a long time

So, any TFC servers worth checking out?

This entire forum is based on the concept of "getting all worked up about nothing". Well, except for the fact that "nothing" is gradually being replaced with "holy shit did you see the video of the rocket launcher reloading it's fucking awesome~!!!!!"

This was highly effective for Firefox. All of the donators names were
made on the page on the left side.

Maybe we can get together and have something that says "FF" when it comes out. I doubt FF is popular enough to afford something this big, but maybe a small ad?

A marketing friend of mine told me once that someone has to see a brand name four times before they actually take it in.
