Hammer Broken Again?
Ive been trying to create an iris door in hammer for a map im working on, i got it working before, but the other day it would compile and move it miles away from where it should be, and even then not work. today i have another go, but when i try to select a block+an origin, and set it to func_door_rotating, it just crashes giving a memory error. i try to make just a normal sliding door which opens, and i get (i think) the same error
http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/1...ryerrorom4.jpg any idea whats causing it? is anyone else getting the same? |

Create new map, copy your simple door in it and compile
if that doesnt work, try compiling another map without the door, see if you get the same error. if you do, check your ram with memtest+ |

Ok, you shouldn't be using origin brushes in source.
Use the little origin helper sphere thing. |

The 'origin'.
It won't show up unless you have this button at the top activated. It's called 'origin' in the properties of an entity that uses it, and it's coordinates are listed there too. |
