Yeah that's sharking.
Oh, and it's cool to see that TF2 are still keeping the game interesting and fast! If the game goes all Valve-uber-release-delay on me, I may cry. :X |

Sharking is holding jump and duck to keep all speed gained from a conc/gren/etc across the surface of water. Not sure if its possible to turn at all while sharking, there isn't a great deal of use for it on many maps, though it can be quite useful on openfire if the flag is at the end of the water.
Regarding radio tag ammo: How many players will opt for that rather than the shot that will kill the enemy? Unless the sniper rifle has been nerfed and 1 shot kills are not possible, I can't see many players thinking 'I'll tag him rather than kill him'. I'm not sure how it will work of course, it's interesting to hear about the new tricks, I like the sound of the spy particularly. |

Huh! That's really sweet from both sides. I'm definitely looking forward to TF2 even more.

Seriously though, won't the hunted have a hard time if radio tags are used? |

Maybe a medic healing will remove radio tags?
Again though, if a sniper is capable of hitting the hunted, why wouldn't he just execute him as per map objective? |

Maybe the sniper closest to the start could volunteer to run past the defence in order to tag the hunted - he probably won't be able to kill him in this case, no time to charge and before auto rifle kills the hunted, the sniper would probably be dead.

We could probably disable radiotag functionality on that map with LUA if we found it to be unbalancing, so it's not really an issue.

I think its a pretty damned cool feature. Does a medic or engineer remove the effect?

I think there was discussion about having the engineer being able to 'cure' it but I'm not sure what the plan is at the moment.
Currently I think it lasts a certain amount of time before just wearing off, but all this stuff is largely up to playtesting really. |
