Glad you all seem to like the speedometer idea
Ohh, and the front of base texture HAS now changed :P Finally found something that looks nice, just need to make a nice red version of it sometime... I'm not planning on releasing any screenshots or a new bsp or anything for a good while though, cos (as Sidd said) we've got exams :/ Expect the next beta (probably in a couple of months) to look sweet though! |

At least show us the new texture.
And the units used in HL are inches, so it makes sense for the radar to be in miles. Last edited by o_nezumi; 05-26-2006 at 10:45 AM. |

New front of base texture screenshots
Here are some screenshots of the new front of base texture. They are only of the blue base as we haven't made a red version of the texture yet. Please note that the reflections on it can look a bit weird when you just see the screenshots, but when you see it ingame they look much cooler the way they change as you move around
As always, all the screenshots of the rest of the map can be found here (you might have to hit refresh cos I'm a noob). Would be useful to know what people think of the new texture compared to the previous one please (it's much better imo, especially when you see it in game). Let me know what you all think. |

Oh man. The lighting fits the skybox perfectly, the yard looks great, the new texture's very nice, you've got the speedometer in there, it's just... yeah, it's nice. Great stuff.

This looks good top marks!
I would like to see some of the displacements overlapping the metal it looks quite neat and tidy atm, a bit of overlap on all sides would be great. [edit] On top of the window maybe a roof which slants upwards or something since it looks flat at the moment [edit] |

It seems to go with the inside of the base. The inside doesn't go with the outside, exactly, but that just makes for interesting contrast.
