Awesome, I'm downloading now, I'll put it up as soon as possible.

Thanks stino!

EDIT:
I found that while in the enemy base, if you walk up to an enemy respawn door, the turret inside can see through the door, so it starts firing.

I'm not sure if you're supposed to be able to jump back up to that ledge, the one at the end of the new tunnel, overlooking the flag, but I can.

sv_allowdownload lets people download from you, IE: download a map from the server. It's what I use when I host servers, and people download the maps fine, My upload is set to 0 though.

Mine are both set to 1 and I can't upload maps to players from my FF server. *shrug*

Above the flag, there's the new tunnel with the new door. It's elevated from the walkway that you get to from the ladder that now works. So from the above the flag pit, you go up the ladder (on the right), around the walkway and you can jump to the door/tunnel that's not locked. Hope that helps...

I found the problem with the uploads, at least on my server, I'll have to see about changing the value of net_maxfilesize or something.

CreateFragmentsFromFile: 'maps/ff_badlands_beta6.bsp' size exceeds net_maxfilesize limit (16 MB). badlands is ~46M Maybe it needs some optimization/compression?

i guess you can't compress unless you use bz2 with downloadurl

and badlands has a lot of displacements = big file.
and it's still smaller then hunted

I think it's more of a problem with the default net_maxfilesize "16" setting. Badlands isn't the only map above 40M. I set mine to 50 and it's downloading now. Additionally, it appears that the engine compresses the map for download into a .ztmp file which cuts it in half but it's still above 16M.

net_maxfilesize "50" (on the server) fixes it for me.

EDIT:
While it's now uploading maps to clients, it takes SO long that the map cycle kicks in before people can finish getting the map. Most people aren't going to be willing to wait that long and then have to start over when the map cycles so I guess sv_downloadurl is the only way to distribute the map quick enough, which will kill servers without it.

Why not host it on filefront?

I get a directory list to that url. You should bz2 the files to compress though.

Separately. Each file should be it's own .bz2

Thanks again!

bzip2 filename (or maybe) bzip2 *

tar -czvf filename will give a tar.gz not a .bz2 file

I've been running FreeBSD for over a decade and I still learn new stuff.

I'm not sure what a game would do with the tar.bz2 I don't know if it matters either though. Whatever works.

That gives you another way to get your map(s) out there, it looks great so far.
