Shottie concepts (more unofficial)
I submitted these as part of my application to be part of the FF dev team. I tried to make them seem conventional but not like any real shotguns. Though I do see a bit of spas-12 in the sb shotgun pump...
Edit: whoops, didnt notice that dr_nick got on the team and the concept artist opening got taken down from the jobs page. Better luck next time. |

I like the single shotty best from those two pictures. It looks like it could do some real damage.
The Double shotty probably needs a bit of beefing up tho. |

Yea that double shottie looks like a "Wild West" with a tad of the future to it. Nice job though. Wish I could draw.

Reminds me of Soul-Jah's cell shaded comic models for tfc
God I hope someone makes some cartoon remakes of the ff models, rather than the quake ones. (will prob take me a few years to get bored of the new models though) |

Hammered this one out a little quicker than the others, obviously. Kinda felt it needed to be a little more simple and sharp too. That last shottie is just a little food for thought from someone who wasn't scared by The Ring because he knew too much about VCRs... |

Now the only problem with the clip would be the reloading. I'm assuming the shotgun will reload like the one in TFC did, one shell at a time. With a clip, all would be done right away and I don't see how you could make that reload time fit.

But loading 16 shells one at a time is also a slight problem

Just make it take a little longer to cock it. In other words, instead of entering each shell, have it still work with the slide.
He fires, and by sliding it, the next shot gets pulled up and positioned. The same way 6 shooters work. Instead of semi-auto. |
