Is that supposed to be an answerable question?

Not an answerable question. I just don't get it.

I find a genre as general as "metal" can cover a wide array of bands.. so if you could give a bands that you've heard as an example of a more specific genre...
For me a lot hangs in the vocals. So I'm not one for permanent screaming unless the riffs are good (such as in Lamb of God). Pantera/Hatebreed/Chimaira style I need to be more in the mood for... But yeah, I listen to stuff from death-core bands to Leona Lewis but my most loved music came from the nu-metal era. So I find it rather hard to give a good answer... I'd say as a vocalist I focus most on the vocals in a song (lyrics and the vocals themselves). It's the same for anyone who plays an instrument in bands, you can appreciate particular things in bands, so you're likely to get a varied array of answers to your question. |

yeah, see for me it's almost the exact opposite...I could pretty much care less about the vocals, it's the drums and guitar I listen for/to, when listening to hard core metal (or really metal of any kind).

exactly my point
FrenchToast... how would you quantify your reasons for liking your music over others? It's quite hard to do so when you know others have a bias and would never accept your reasoning quite the way that you do.. music is each to their own and that's the beauty of it! |

I'm liking this band a lot:
They remind me of the material from the final album of another band I've enjoyed for a while:

I like it Bout time we got Electro/Dubstep/DnB on here too (not looked posts prior to a month ago)
What would you classify that.. Electro mostly but feels like its got element of Dub (not heavy influence obv)
