Using Xfire to record in game videos?

On another forum I visit (rarely) this guy had posted how he used Xfire to record an ingame video and upload it to youtube. Has anyone heard of this before?

Ya xfire has had that built in for awhile .. it sucks, use fraps if you want to record the ghetto way.

Yea... Xfire has had video recording for awhile, it recently just started a broadcasting feature as well... so everything is live (aside from the few second delay)...

The quality isn't that bad, but it's not as good as Fraps... though Fraps as we all know eats up your HD space in an instant.
