Favorite patch?

What's your favorite patch? Could because of multiple reasons, you liked the changes it brought to the table, or because of a certain memory in that patch

i liked 1.11 the best. I personally think it was the most balanced, fun patch to date. Plus, i have many memories of that patch.

I like the 2.1 patch.... because(speaking as a beta tester) we focused on balance, and the FUN factor. The whole idea aside from class balance, cute little ideas, and all.... was the make the game FUN! Somehow this had been overlooked before. Mostly because we were looking to make sure things worked. 2.1 has to be the funnest patch to date.

2.0 with 2.1 a close second. I choose 2.0 because of the jump pad addition and the other random changes. 2.1 is nice because of the uber leet maps and models and optimization, but I hold 2.0 close to my heart

2.1 because we got (almost) everything right. The bits of cleanup and problems (linux etc.) were small compared to previous patches (constant crashes in 1.0, insane balance fuckup in 1.1 (fixed by 1.11)).

2.1, because it added more user friendly and intuitive features. Still, I was disappointed in the respect that it could have and should have been even more.

Seriously.... We were almost a month late getting this one out the door. Not putting any fault on anyone, though. We(devs and testers) worked our asses off on this one. Some people were debating on putting 2.1 off until we could do the entire Orange Box conversion. We promiced ff_2fort for 2.1, and had to make sure it was as good as it should be.

If you have suggestions, Wisp..... please feel free to give them. We are always open to new ideas.

i enjoyed 1.1 except the fact that sgs were uber and hw usuless, i enjoyed 2.o because i felt like a good player with those uber concs and uber speed lol, now in 2.1 im kinda relearning the mechanics of it, but one thing is for sure the 2.1 patch looks great with the new animations, shadows etc.

2.0 ruined the game for me for the most part.

Medic = 1.0
hwguy = 2.1
pyro = 2.0 / 2.1
engineer = every patch has improved one thing and screwed something else
scout = 2.0 / 2.1 though I still miss caltrops and radar
demoman = 1.11
soldier = been fine in every patch for me
spy = 2.1 only if you're the spy
sniper = 2.1

Bring the caltrops back D:

They are so freaking useful, it is not even a funny

Just make sure you don't add timers to them...just make them exactly like TFC, click and drop.

Make teh spawn rooms better On a side note they sometimes confuse me casue im used to TFC LOL!?!

But ya, thats the only weakpoint in 2fort, the spawns are uuugly. Otherwise, congratulations on making 2fort actually fun. Didn't think it was possible.

And the scout radar!! God I loved that so damn much. Saved my ass so many times sneaking around the back entrance to FR in shutdown.
