Personally I dont think Alabama can take a team with a strong line. Tennesse, unless they beat themselves, is probably the better team.

#2 Texas vs #7 Texas Tech.

What do you guys think? I'm going to be in Austin for this game and even though sportsbooks are giving Texas Tech 16.5 points as of right now, does anyone else feel like its going to be a closer game than that? Considering Texas has the #8 offense and #3 defense, I think its going to be closer because Tech has the #2 offense and the #18 defense.

Is this a case of Tech not getting enough respect, Texas being overhyped, or is Texas really good enough to outscore Tech by 17 points?

Well, colorado and missouri were expected to put more points on the board...and we destroyed them both, so it's hard to say. Again, I'd expect this to be a close game...your passing game is scary But..only Ohio State was close so far..

I'm going with Texas. People are already saying the Rose Bowl is going to be USC vs. Texas, and I for one believe them. It'll be a close game, but Texas will come out on top.

As for last nights game of Virginia Tech vs. Maryland...

Not an unexpected outcome, but a piss-poor performance by the Maryland offense. The D intercepted Vick three times and failed to capitalize. Unbelieveable. They managed to hang with them for 3 quarters and gave it away in the fourth. Probably cause the D was tired from playing. Oh well.

This week's games!

Texas vs. Texas Tech - Texas
Alabama vs. Tennessee - Alabama
LSU vs. Auburn - Auburn
Georgia vs. Miami - Wilma

Boo-yah!

Woot, time for me to get some predictions wrong
In my opinion the large games of the week.

22. Michigan St. vs Northwestern - This game is going to be much closer then what is predicted. It's right now a 12.5 point spread for mich st. But I've seen NW upset some real decent ranked teams. I think Mich st wins small if they win at all.

North Carolina vs 23. Virginia - NC is actually favored by 1 point even though they are 2-4 this season. If Virginia can beat FSU they can beat NC, enough said

Air force vs 21. TCU - I know nothing about each team, but i do know there is a 0 pt spread on this game. So I guess this is suppose to be a great match. I'm going with TCU on this one.

2. Texas vs 10. Texas Tech - Texas Tech has yet to play a strong team this year. This inexperience is going to kill them against Texas. Texas wins and they will be going all the way this year, even though i hate them :P

5. Alabama vs 17. Tennesse - Alabama looks like crap against teams with strong lines, and kick ass against teams with weak lines (UF and South carolina). They are now playing a team with the largest line in the SEC. Even though Tennesse has been struggling with QB's, I think they will take this one.

7. LSU vs 16. Auburn - This is going to be the best game of the week in my opinion. LSU may be one of the most tallented teams in the nation. They also make the most mistakes I've ever seen. I believe their mistakes are going to cost them this week. Auburn wins by a very small margin.

Now lets see how bad i am this week :P

This weekend isn't all that great in match ups, but i think homecoming has alot to do with it. Here are the good games in my humble opinion.

12. Ohio St. vs Minnesota - Damn good game!!! Both teams 5-2 losing to only ranked teams. I have no clue why minnesota isnt ranked in the AP poll, but they should be. I think OSU will win by a touchdown or less.

16. Florida vs 4. Georgia - With Georgia's starting QB Shocky out for the game, I believe UF will have enough strength to win by a TD.

25. Michigan vs 21. Northwestern - This will be another awesome game. Mich is in limbo. They some times bring their A game and then other times their B game. NW impressed me last week with their huge win over Mich. St. I think NW will pull this one out.

23. Tennesse vs South Carolina - I think this game will be closer then the predictions. UT's offense sucks soo bad they'll keep S.C. in it the whole game. UT wins by 10 or less.

And that concludes what I feel are the games of the week.

Euro-slang Football (as we 'yanks' call Soccer) or American?

If American:

I vote...

...

...

...

I can't, I get insanely jealous watching football. If only my knee hadn't been busted (my patella was on the side of my knee and split in half... along with most of the tendons and ligaments ripped) by that fat---nevermind. Long story. Let's just say that I played for 11 years, had scouts harassing me when I was a freshman in Highschool, and was first team regional, state and district. Not to mention I broke about 7 records in my AAAA highschool, and 2 in AAAA state. A bitter could-have-been-but-never-was.

I was at the Florida State vs Maryland game this weekend, so I didn't get to see much other than that. Good game though. And there really isn't anything like being in a stadium with 80,000 people doing the chop. Its pretty damn awesome.

Anyways, I heard about the score of the Texas vs. Oklahoma game before half time and was utterly shocked. What was going on with that?

80,000 people, that's a small crowd. How big is FSU's stadium?

It holds a little more than 83,000 people. I don't know how many people were at the game, but it looked like the place was packed.

Texas vs Oklahoma State actually. Nothing really happened, OSU usually pulls off one upset a year and this looked like it might have been it. Texas came out flat, OSU pulled off some amazing and lucky plays which allowed or helped them to score. The pick off Vince Young was freaking sweet but as soon as they got up 28-12 or whatever I remember saying "Halftime is gonna kill Oklahoma State because Texas will be a different team in the second half" and wouldn't you know it... they were. Texas killed them in the second half. This will hurt Texas in the BCS rankings though, sucks for them.

That's a pretty small stadium. I guess I'm use to the SEC stadiums. Most of the big teams in the SEC have 90,000+

I believe Tennesse has over 100,000.

Then you'd think the Big12 stadiums are tiny. Around 60k for most I think (cept maybe Nebraska).

Oklahoma State usually does that to us. But of course we come back and blow 'em away in the 2nd half.

Game of the week:

Virginia Tech vs. Miami

This should be a doozy. Basically, the outcome should be the deciding factor for who takes Coastal ACC. VT has been crushing people, but Miami is no pushover. And historically, VT chokes at the end of their season. Good game either way.

My pick: VT

Other notable game(s):

Wisconsin vs. Penn State - Penn State
Cal vs. Oregon - Oregon
Texas Tech vs. Texas A&M - A&M

Have at it.

Texas Tech - come on voip....A&M has no pass defense at all, and Tech passes 90% of the time. I also might at the game is in Lubbock.

There's absolutely no way A&M will win. I believe the Tech line right now is -17.

With that being said, I'm gonna feel like a jackass if A&M does pull it off. Haha.

Pffft, A&M can't pull that off this season.
