Well, this really isn't a big deal, I'm sure someone will modify the shotgun model and remove the stock for us haters

without the stock the shotgun looks more like the single shotty to me.

We have yet to see the single shottie (or the AC, flamethrower, or skinned sniper rifle - but we've seen everything else).

i know we haven't seen the single shotty yet...but it looks more like a single shotty without the stock to me at least...the stock adds some bulk to the gun...making it look more like a super shotty.

To me, it looks a lot like the hl2 shotgun with a stock tacked on. Why would you add a stock that can't be used? In my opinion, it doesn't make it look any better. someone start a poll.

I wanna know why the ssg skin is different to the one in the render, like the main part has a green tinge to it but the other bits don't. It gives it a more realistic look rather than the slightly futuristic look of the render.
It just looks odd. |

It was tinted green because when it was put in-game, it was very, very grey and washed out.
Since it is rare (and undesirable) that you get any mapper doing their lighting as strict tones of white-->grey, you always get some colour bleeding onto any models you have. So on models which have more subtle skin tones, such as what the shotgun had originally, these tend to get washed out and don't look as good. So it was tinted green to overcome that. The golden rule is, and it's something few people appreciate, what you get in a render does not necessarily look like what you get in-game. In fact, in NEVER looks as good as the render. |
