Outer FF?

Would anyone be interested in playing random HL2 mods on random days?

I mean, I think it'd be a cool concept, the idea being that FF players take up half a server (with a [Fortress Forever] tag), and the other half being players from that mod's player base.

Here's what might happen:
- If some new players join while we're online, they'll have someone to play against (and get that mod some more players - and maybe FF too)
- If some old players join they might look up Fortress Forever (and maybe get us some more players).
- If some players who have played FF before join, we can tell them about what's happened since they've left.
- If some TFC players join, we can tell them about the differences between FF and TFC.
- FF players get the chance to try out new games (and maybe get that mod some more players)

So long as you guys don't be pricks, we get new players, the mod gets new players, everybody wins. The end.

But anyway, I dunno how long to play the game for. If we say 1 day, then some FF players might not be able to come and we wouldn't see as many people. If we say 1 week, some FF players will be bored from the mod, and they'll stop joining.

So, what are your thoughts? And how long do you think we should play a mod for, if we do start this?

totally love the the idea. organizing the FF community is impossible though or at least it feels like that.

we could make vidoes of us playing call it "FF players Play..."

So, I have a list of Source Mods that are 'alive' (have been updated sometime this year - or are iconic):

SDK Base 2006 or 2007 mods are completely free, and require nothing other than a Steam account (even if it's not activated)!

If someone can clear up the details on the ones saying 'unknown requirements', I'll fix them on this list.

I won't take part in ones requiring more than just the SDK Bases, as I myself don't have any HL2 games (boo loser ddm sux).

If anyone wants to request another mod, just write it down and it's requirements. I found these mods by hunting through the top 50 popular HL2 mods on ModDB.

Don't come running to me because: "these mods are too slow and will fuck up my FF game".
You wanna have fun, right? Come play teh games.

So it's been a month, but no-ones really suggested how long we should play a game, or left any suggestions D:

Anyway, to see how much support this idea has, can I ask you all to head onto GoldenEye: Source on May 25th (next Saturday) at:

Coordinated Universal Time: 8pm

Europe:
British Summer Time: 9pm
Eastern European Summer Time: 11pm
Central European Summer Time: 10pm
Western European Summer Time: 9pm
Greenwich Mean Time: 8pm

America:
Eastern Standard Time: 4pm
Central Standard Time: 3pm
Mountain Standard Time: 2pm
Pacific Standard Time: 1pm

You can work out your own time from UTC if it isn't listed.

if svencoop source ever was made then count me in, used to have a blast on that years back, thing is I dont think it will be last time I looked.

Devs should add enemy ents to ff and then rename it coop-forever?
shit would be instant hit, that type of mapping is beyond my scope though to make it decent, someone could port palemo and ksour over for it.

In the maps have billboards advertising ff
